Virginia Visit
With school being out we headed up to Virginia for a visit. We had two happy girls and a very happy Doncie!
We visited parks, went to the pool, ate home cooked meals and relaxed. We love these visits!

Kindergarten Graduation
Oh Lily Bean, I could not have asked for a better kindergarten year for you. I am amazed at all your little brain soaked in.
I was not prepared for the amount of tears I shed. I believe I was in denial that you were leaving this wonderful little school.
You have a true thirst for knowledge. When you hear a word you don’t know, you always ask me what it means. You are a deep thinker and sometimes the depth of your questions really blows me away. You are already reading on a first grade level. I love hearing you at night reading in your bed. You really enjoy science and love to perform “experiments.”
Your teacher said that she learned many things from you. She said, “I learned how to paint a lot better . I learned to do puzzles better . I learned that a quiet child has a lot to say if you listen to them .”
It still amazes me that you are so quiet in class, because girl you are anything but quiet at home. This is you reading why you like Kindergarten. “I like kindergarten because I learned science. I like the field trip to the county park. I love Dave. I loved library books.”
Happy Graduation Bean
Sarah Ellen’s 3K Program
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a good picture of Sarah Ellen and her class during their end of the year program. Trust me, it was adorable.
This has been a great year for little Bug. She has really blossomed and loves school. She especially loves her teacher, Mrs. Amy. If we happen to be at an event outside of school with Mrs. Amy, Sarah Ellen has to be by Amy’s side. At church, she wants to sit in Mrs. Amy’s lap. I love that she is so comfortable and confident with Amy. I know it is because she feels the unconditional love of her teacher.
Sarah Ellen learned her letters and the sounds they make. She learned to count and be a good listener in circle time. She learned to be a sweet friend. Most importantly, she learned about the love of Jesus. These pictures are bitter sweet. Sarah Ellen will greatly miss one of her best buds as Hannah and her family have left for new and great adventures in Colorado.

Another Field Trip
How many kindergartners get to take a field trip to their teacher’s house? All year Lily has been talking about the end of the year pool party at Mrs. Jenn’s house. This lady knows how to motivate!
Lily was blessed with an amazing teacher this year. She not only taught her but loved her. She truly cares about her students well being – physical, educational and spiritual. I could not have asked for a better start to Lily’s education.
