Christmas Day

I think Sarah Ellen’s favorite present was the box of Whoppers.  She would open a present, eat a few Whoppers, open a present, and eat some more Whoppers.  We spent a wonderful morning opening presents and being together.  The girls got their much anticipated American Girl dolls from Poppy and Doncie.

The Gardners joined us for Christmas lunch and we all enjoyed a fabulous day together.

Happy Birthday Jesus!DSC_0218DSC_0219-001DSC_0220-001DSC_0221-001DSC_0222-001DSC_0224-001DSC_0225-001DSC_0226-001DSC_0227DSC_0228-001DSC_0230DSC_0233-001

Festival of Lights

We attempted three time to go see the lights with the Hamiltons, but Mother Nature just didn’t like that plan and it poured down rain each time.  The girls were slightly tremendously disappointed.  It worked out great in the end, however because we were able to go with Doncie, Poppy and Aunt Nette when they got in town.  DSC_0201-002      I believe this is the first time our girls have ever sat on Santa’s lap.  Lily was a little unsure at first, but warmed up quickly.  DSC_0205-001DSC_0209-001DSC_0214-001DSC_0217-001

Cookies for Santa

It was another fun evening this year making cookies for Santa.  Lots of flour, icing, sugar, and giggles.  DSC_0158-002DSC_0160-002DSC_0161-001DSC_0163-001DSC_0164-001DSC_0167-001DSC_0168-002DSC_0169-002DSC_0170-001DSC_0171-002DSC_0175-002DSC_0176-002DSC_0177-001DSC_0179-002DSC_0180-001DSC_0181-002DSC_0182-002

1st Grade Program

The first grade at Lily’s school put on a “holiday” program.  She was so excited and knew her songs very well. DSC_0191-001DSC_0198   Lily is in the front row on the left – right next to her BFF.  Those two are never far from one another these days.

4k Program

I was very sad this year that Sarah Ellen’s 4K Christmas program was the same night as our church Christmas pageant.  We decided to participate in the church pageant, but little Buggy was very sad that we would not see her as the bird in her play.  It worked out well that Lily was home from school on the same day as the 4K dress rehearsal, so Lily and I went to watch.  This seemed to make Sarah Ellen very happy and all was well.
