I am not sure why but while at Mimi and Papa's for Thanksgiving, we promised the girls a trip to the mall to buy some clip on earrings. Our rule is no pierced ears until you are 10. It didn't really dawn on me that clip ons look just like regular earring and, of course the girls want to wear them everywhere. They instantly look 10 years older! I may bump the age back a few years...

Coastal Carolina Fair
Lily had a piece of her artwork chosen to be displayed at the Coastal Carolina Fair this year. This was the girls first time going to the fair and they had a blast. At first, Lily was pretty nervous, but quickly settled in and enjoyed the festivities. We visited the agricultural building to see all the animals. We also attended an elephant show. When they asked for volunteers, I was a bit shocked to see Lily's arm shoot up. She got to go up and help feed the elephant. I was so proud of her. We then took a chair lift ride. Little did Lily know, I was just as nervous as she was, but we BOTH did it! The girls rode some rides and went down a humongous slide. Their facial expressions on the slide were priceless. And who can go to the fair without eating. I had to have all of my fair favorites: french fries, a sausage dog with peppers and onions, a caramel apple, and an elephant ear. One can only imagine how great I felt after all that.
Lily got a little nibbled in the petting zoo!
