Surfside 2010

Mom and Dad rented a condo at Surfside for a week since both of Mom’s sisters were going to be there. They are becoming quit the travelers. They invited us to come, and of course the answer was yes. I am not going to miss out on good beach time and good family time. James wasn’t able to come up because we had already planned a family vacation for the following week. The girls and I took off for almost two weeks of beach vacation. It is funny to me that this trip is not an annual event that our family plans, yet we usually end up together in Surfside at some point every year. This began when I was a little girl and hopefully will continue for a long time to come. Next year we are hoping to get my entire extended family on my mom’s side together to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday. Check out some of the fun from last year.

Sarah Ellen had fun dressing up Gigi (her great-grandmother). Mimi took the girls for a little walk on the beach in the afternoon. There is no such thing as a little stroll on the beach with a 2 and 4 year old. They came back covered in sand and had to go straight to the bath. Lily was excited to have cousins to share her Polly Pockets with. Sarah Ellen getting some snuggles from Gigi. Paige and Aunt Theo Molly and Brady. Molly and I grew up playing together on these trips and now we get to watch our children play together. Talk about full circle. Having so many of her great grands present, Gigi wanted to get a picture with all of them. Easier said than done Gigi!! This is our best attempt. Gigi with 8 of her 13 great-grandchildren. Austin – 10, Sarah Ellen –2, Adam – 13, Paige – 2, Brady – 3 months, Lily – 4, Caitlyn –7, Tayton - 5 Sarah Ellen with Papa and Ellie Mae. Lily with Uncle Richard. This about the only time she could steal with him. Sarah Ellen was not letting Uncle Richard out of her sight this trip. Sarah Ellen had more fun playing with the gate, than playing in the pool. I believe the water was a little too cool for her liking.
