James and I didn’t join in the Lost series bandwagon when the rest of the world did, so we thought we would check it out to see if all the hype about this show was really worth it. It all started with a simple click of the mouse and Netflix sent us the first DVD in the mail. Who knew that that simple little click would come to consume our lives. We have since discovered that we don’t even need to wait on the DVD’s. We can plug the computer into the TV and watch them INSTANTLY! So now we find ourselves in bed at 8 o’clock every night glued to the television. Practically each show ends in a cliffhanger so it takes great control to not click the “play next episode” button. We have abandoned all the old shows we used to watch because we just can’t pull ourselves away from Lost. I must know: What is this island all about? What the heck is the smoke monster? Who is Jacob? I must know! I must know now!
I have no clue how anyone watched this series over a span of 6 years. A week in between each episode, three months between each season. The anxiety, the bad dreams, the unrest that must have caused for six whole years.
We are now in season 4 and more confused than ever. We must knock out these last 3 seasons so we can move on with our lives. I am a bit afraid of the withdrawal that will ensue after the end of this series, but the end must come, AND SOON!

Oh Taryn, I feel your pain. Chris and I were LOYAL viewers and even watched the first three or four seasons without a DVR. It does consume your life and thoughts. I cannot tell you anything. You must experience it. There were so many nights Chris and I stayed awake, trying to "figure out" everything. The one thing you can count on, is that you WILL NOT be disappointed with the ending. The only thing that IS disappointing, I cannot find ANYTHING on tv that compares to the complexity, mysteries, love stories, etc of that show. Enjoy!
