Pizza Night
James heard how great pizzas were on the Egg and, of course, he just had to see for himself. In true James fashion, he insisted on doing it the complicated right way with homemade sauce and every topping you could imagine. We had the Hamilton’s over to join in the fun. I’m not sure when we invited them, they knew they would actually be making their own dinner. It made for a fun and messy night!
We realized that pizza dough tossing is a true art form and some of us were better at it than others. If the lawyer and banking thing doesn’t work out for James and Trey, I think they may have a new profession to fall back on.
Trey and his sous chef.

Well there is obviously a learning curve when it comes to cooking pizzas on the Egg. Our first pizza came out a littlecharred well done on the bottom.
Molly and I made the executive decision to cook the next one in the oven. I think we will leave pizza making to the professionals from now on.

Knitting Lessons
Lily was so excited that she had learned to knit, that she got her friends excited about learning to knit too, especially Abigail. One afternoon we had a little lesson and the girls picked it up pretty fast. It is amazing to see what a difference a few years can make in the learning process. Lily and MA quickly lost interest and found their way to the playroom. Abigail, on the other hand, sat with me all afternoon and practiced. I quite enjoyed my time with this sweet eight year old. She is now ready for our next lesson – learning to make a hat!

Africa
Several months back James asked me how I felt about him going on a mission trip with his buddy Rob to Africa. Um, Africa – as in across the world, Africa. Hmm, how do I feel about that – TERRIFIED! But how in the world could I deny him this opportunity. After much preparation he and Rob left January 2 for Nairobi, Kenya. They returned January 10 from an amazing experience that only he can share. I may ask him for a special guest post.
To say that he had two very excited little girls to see him, would be quite the understatement. We were so thankful to have him home safe with us.
I am so thankful to have a husband with a strong faith and desire to share the love of Jesus Christ.
