We actually had to wake the children this year on Christmas morning. I am sure this will not be the case in future years. It didn’t take too much, though, to get Lily out of bed. She was very excited to see what Santa had in store for her. Christmas is wonderful to experience through the eyes of a child.
I think Lily’s favorite part is opening her stocking. She helped all of us get out our goodies.
Princess underwear – how did he know we needed more? We had to open each pair to see all the princesses.
Sarah Ellen wandered around holding many random things in her hands.
Mommy got a new spatula for icing cakes.
Sarah Ellen’s favorite thing was the beef jerky that came in James’ stocking. She carried it around all morning and gnawed on it through the package. It was in pretty rough shape after the morning.
Hmm, a Le Crueset pot holder. Is there a Le Crueset pot anywhere under the tree to go with it?
Mimi opening her new Kindle.
Monica, Lee, Gabby and Maggie came to join us for lunch and the afternoon.
James was given a famous Peninsula Grill coconut cake for Christmas. It was the hit of the day. Mimi was tortured for two days until we cut the cake, but said it was well worth the wait.
Playing with our new crafts.
Snookie and Ellie Mae
Lee made the mistake of pulling out a toy and got stuck putting it together.
James’ new toy – a Big Green Egg. He was one happy boy.
Sarah Ellen is not so sure about her new remote controlled car.
Lily quickly liked it.
Sarah Ellen soon got the hang of it.
Doncie and Poppy gave the girls a new play mat perfect for dance shows.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY JESUS
