Christmas Eve

Our little girls are now officially cherubs – in our church choir, that is. Lily and Margaret Anne began participating in cherub choir this year and were able to be a part of our annual church Christmas pageant. This involved some change in our Christmas Eve tradition of going to the candlelight service, but seeing our little angel participate in the story of our savior’s birth was well worth it. IMG_6879 IMG_6883IMG_6888If you know these two well, you know that Lily is a thumb sucker and Margaret Anne is an ear puller. How sweet is this picture. IMG_6889IMG_6891IMG_6893I believe Lily and Margaret decided the song needed hand gestures as well. IMG_6894 Porter decided to hang out with his daddy during the show. IMG_6902During the show, Margaret Anne wanted to take the mike and really show them how to sing. IMG_6903If only I could have caught Carline’s reprimand before she caught me. IMG_6904Who needs halos when you can make really fancy belts? I’m sure the directors made a mental note to not let these two stand by each other next year.IMG_6905IMG_6909One tired little angel. All in all, the pageant was wonderful. The children, big and little, performed beautifully. Lily almost made it through the whole service until she fell off the platform during a song. After that she had to finish the show sitting with Mommy and Daddy.

I can’t believe my little angel is old enough to participate in the church pageant. This was the perfect service for remembering the true reason for Christmas: celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

“Oh, come let us adore him, Christ the Lord.”
