In early November we joined Mom and Dad at their church for the annual Kurkin of the Tartan. This is a Scottish tradition in which families carry a flag of their family tartan during the processional. This was also a special day as Lake Murray Presbyterian Church was celebrating their 35th anniversary. Our founding minister, Dr. Eller, came back to deliver a powerful sermon. This was a full circle moment for me. I dropped Sarah Ellen off at the very nursery that I used to go to. I was baptized (by Dr. Eller) and married in this church. It was a special day and great to see many familiar faces.
I snagged this picture from the LMPC website. Daddy and Adam represented our family.
Before we left, I snapped a few pictures of Sarah Ellen. I’m not sure where Lily was at the moment. This is her “cheese” face.
