March 2006

Wow, what a month! Mastitis twice, no sleep, breastfeeding traumas, but 100% worth it. Lily was so alert even at such a young age. She was such a good baby. I never knew I could have so much love for such a tiny little being.

Heading home from the hospital. Lily was welcomed home by both sets of her grandparents. Lisa and Derek brought dinner over for us, and we convinced them to stay and eat with us. Lily slept all day, and James and I thought "this is easy." Don't worry, reality soon hit.

Kami, Richard, Adam and Austin came to visit the following weekend. Austin was smitten from the beggining. I'm not sure Adam was so sure, after all this thing did spit up and poop. Do those tiny diapers really hold everything in?

Aunt Nette couldn't stay away either. She's enjoying cuddletime with her new neice. Little did we know that we had to enjoy it then, because Lily has never been a big snuggler.

Lee, Monica, Gabby and Maggie came to visit. It seems like just yesterday that the girls were this little.

We put Lily in the sun to try help her jaundice. We had to go to the pediatrician several times that first week to have her hemoglobin drawn. I'm not sure who this was harder for: Lily or her daddy.

This picture was taken when Lily was just a few days old. I cannot believe that she had somehow fit inside me.

Are you my mommy?

The soothie is about as big as her head.

Mommy and Daddy got a little carried away with the camera sometimes.
