38 Weeks and Still Pregnant

I got my wish. So far, I've been a week off of bed rest and I'm loving the freedom. It's not the most comfortable freedom, but I'm still loving it. Lily and I went out to lunch every day last week. We have had such a good time together. I've even cooked the past two nights. And boy have I ever nested. We are completely ready. The baby clothes are washed and put away. The bottles and pacis are sterilized. The nursery is baby-ready. I even filled out as much of the baby book as I could. If she comes now we are ready, but I still want her to grow some more. I had an ultrasound last Thursday that predicted her to be 6 lbs, 6 ozs. That is tremendous growth since the week before. I had Lily at 39 weeks and she weighed 6 lbs, 9 ozs.

We are just playing the waiting game now.

Cameron drew the giraffe on the wall for us and James and I painted it. The dresser and wash stand are both the furniture that I grew up with.

All that we have left is to put the baby's name above the crib. We can't do that yet because we still don't know what it will be.

Lily had a good time playing with the touch lamp.
Lily is even practicing with her babies. Don't worry, she is girly, but doesn't normally wear 50 bows in her hair. We had just finished playing.

So when is the "baby coming out Mommy's belly?"

LOVE the giraffe!

I predict that you have, hmmm, 6 days to go. The 10th. (Mills' was born on a 10th:)

The nursery is beautiful--I love the giraffe! I hate we missed each other! Will be back around the 16th. Think we will have a baby to see by then? Good luck and keep up the good blog updates!
