They may hate me for this when they are teenagers, but this is just too cute not to post!

Easter Morning 2011
The girls were very excited to wake up Easter morning to see what goodies the Easter Bunny brought them. Their baskets were full of books, bathing suits, pj’s, and of course candy.
Our attempt at an Easter dress shot never seems to go well.
It was then off to church to celebrate the true meaning of Easter morning. Alleluia, Jesus is risen!

Easter Party 2011
We hosted our FOURTH annual Easter party. These kiddos are growing leaps and bounds and I adore every single one of them.
Easter Party 2008; Easter Party 2009: Easter Party 2010
Margaret Anne (5), Thomas (4), Olivia (2), Austin(5), Parker (2), Porter (4), Lily (5), Sarah Ellen (2), Matthew (7),Bailey (7) and Abigail (7)
Once again, we began with a story about the true meaning of Easter…and they were off for the hunt…
After a few pieces of candy, we began dyeing the eggs.
Then fine dining on hot dogs and chips: YUM!
So happy to share another wonderful memory with my village.

Daddy Day
Saturdays around here are known as “Daddy Day.” Daddy lets Mommy sleep in and makes pancakes with the girls. Somehow we have fallen into this routine (maybe because I pretend not to hear the girls in the morning).
Here is what I woke up to find on this particular Daddy Day.
He is the best Daddy a little girl could ask for!

Village Rescue
Once again, my village rescues me. Last Friday I took an antibiotic that my body really did not think belonged in me. Soon after ingesting it, I was perched over the toilet for several hours. Of course this happens on a day that James was out of town and I was supposed to be picking up Lily and Porter from school. As soon as Alison heard my voice, she knew that wasn’t possible and she cheerily says no worries I’ll get them and they can stay for lunch. Not long after Cameron calls and next thing I know she is on my doorstep with Phenergan.
I eagerly succumbed to the Phenergan-induced sleep. I got an occasional call or text to verify that I was still alive. I didn’t see my children until 7 that night. Alison and Cameron juggled 8 children all day. I gave not one instruction. I didn’t have to – these girls know my children as well as I do.
I had no idea where my children were all day, but I know they were cared for and loved.

Blog Block
Wow, zero posts so far for the month of April. I’m facing some serious blog block. Really I’m just knitting all the time now so that my blog is suffering. I will soon get back into the blog groove.
At least now I have one post post for April. More to come…
