We hosted our third annual Easter party the Saturday before Easter. I love traditions and this is one that is here to stay. Check out our first annual Easter party and second annual Easter party to see how these kiddos have grown. Sorry for the crazy amount of pictures, but it was a very fun morning.
The Gang: Bigs, Middles, and Littles
I first attempted to read the children a book about the true meaning of Easter. I think it was pretty hard for the kiddos to pay attention with all those Easter eggs staring back at them from the grass.
Then off to the hunt
“Hey, it sounds like there is something in here. The ones we have been finding all week in the house didn’t have anything in them.”
“Whoa, that looks like candy in there.”
“Hey, that is candy in there.”
“HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME THIS BEFORE.”
“I think I’ll try a little bit.”
“Hey Olivia, did you know there is candy in these eggs.”
”Of course I did. You do know who my parents are, right?
Back to the driveway to check out our loot!
Evidently Olivia did know what was in the eggs and didn’t quite understand the concept of no more.
Next came the Easter egg dyeing.
We also released the butterflies that Doncie and Poppy gave Lily for her birthday. We watched them grow from caterpillars. The children loved setting them free.
We spent the rest of the morning playing, biking, picture taking, tree climbing, and cupcake eating.
Mr. Jason definitely needs a little girl.
I think Mrs. Alison does too.
