We heard that the Blue Angels would be practicing on Thursday and Friday for the big shows this weekend, so we packed a picnic and joined daddy and friends at Waterfront Park for a preview. All I can say is WOW! The Blue Angels are truly amazing and as Caroline said, they make you want to stand up and sing the Star Spangled Banner. It has been fun the past few days watching them zoom all around. Saturday was the first big show and they flew directly over our house in formation. Truly breathtaking. I was outside by myself jumping up and down like a little kid. I can’t wait to see the whole show up close tomorrow.
Parker really just wanted them to disappear however possible.
I was surprised with how well the girls handled the noise. Sarah Ellen wasn’t too thrilled with it, but did okay. I am even more surprised that she was able to nap at home with them buzzing over our house constantly. The windows were shaking, and I even ducked a few times.
Kami and Richard are joining us tomorrow for the real show. Can’t wait.

It was confirmed in The State paper that the plane did not fly under the bridge. Oh, well. Sure looked like it!
