Once again we travel up to Surfside to spend the week with our extended family on my Mom’s side. This year is a very special year as we are gathering to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday. Our ENTIRE family was able to make the trip: My grandmother and her three daughters, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and all the in-laws. We traveled from all over: Minnesota, Arkansas, Maryland, New York, Georgia, and of course South Carolina. As cousins, we grew up vacationing together and now we have come full circle as we watch our children play together.
My pictures all out of order, but I’m taking the easy way so I can get this post done.
It is hard to tell in this picture but everyone has animal visors on. Yep, we were “those people” on the beach.
Laptop anyone?

Who exactly thought blue bubbles was a good idea?
Papa hosted a poker game almost every night. Much to Kami’s dismay, Adam begged and begged to play. I’m not sure it was a good idea because he might have gotten poker fever walking away with $160.00 from the week.

Our first night there, the Aunts surprised everyone with buckets full of toys for all the kids: kites, water soakers, bubbles, beach toys, puzzles, crayons, and the list goes on and on. Everyone headed straight to the beach to test out the kites.

The sisters

Lily became a fish on this trip. She didn’t want to leave the pool the whole week.

Such a wonderful week!!!!!
