This morning we took a bike tour around the Hermit's Rest area of the rim.
We left straight from the bike tour for Las Vegas. I hadn't looked ahead and was thinking this was about a two hour trip. We were thrown a little when the GPS said 4:15 hours. We rolled on through!
We arrived at the Bellagio: fancy, loud, beautiful, over-stimulating, intricate flower art, people everywhere, expensive stores, fountains, and curtains that open and close automatically with the touch of a button!!!!We requested a low floor, as Lily refuses to do elevators. I can't really remember when this fear developed, but evidently we have been able to avoid elevators...until now. We were placed on the fourth floor, but guess what: you can't take the stairs. They did call security and gave us a private escort up the stairwell to our room the first time. I told Lily that we could not do this every time. Poor thing was terrified! Long story short: we tried for about two hours to get her on the elevator with no luck.
We decided to let it go for the night, pray about it, and go for it the next day. Sarah Ellen was so sweet and supportive - she planned a party, danced, and did Lily's hair. Bless my sweet girls!
