Hair Day

Wouldn't ya know it, but tropical storm Bill decided to visit San Antonio too!  He made landfall sometime today.  We aren't expecting any bad weather - just rain.  Since we knew the rain would kick in today, we tried to get as much pool time in as we could.

That lasted about 15 minutes.  We got good and settled in and guess what - it started raining!  That was a huge bummer too because let me tell you this pool area is NICE.  Comfy chairs set up with tables and umbrellas.  This is the perfect place to get lost in a book.

We headed back inside and showered up.  The girls did workbooks, James worked out and I tried to read some.

We went to Maggiano's for lunch.  I LOVE Maggiano's and it did not disappoint today.  We all loved our meals and had fun trying each others.

So what should a family do when it is raining on vacation?  Get haircuts and go shopping of course!  Sarah Ellen has been in desperate need of a haircut for sometime and has been very excited about getting a "bob."  The Shops at La Canterra near our resort has anything and everything you could want.  First we found a hair place that got Sarah Ellen right in.  She had her hair washed and styled.  Well, of course, when Lily saw this, she wanted hers done too.  I figured while Daddy sits with them, I might as well browse around some stores, right.   This place is AWESOME!  You name a brand or store and they have it.  Mommy doesn't shop well under pressure (not that anyone was rushing me), so I think I will have to return tomorrow.

We had dinner at Zoe's Kitchen, dessert at Cold Stone Creamery and headed home for another game of Ticket to Ride (which Mommy won...again...).
