We had an early morning today because we were scheduled for the Wrangler Breakfast. James and Lily woke up extra early (5:30) to ride
horses over to the breakfast area. Since Sarah
Ellen was too young to ride the horses, she and I took Big Red. I can't say I was too disappointed with that deal. It was a
chilly morning, but they had blankets for us on Big Red and a campfire ready
when we got there.
This was a delicious breakfast. They had an omelet station with all the
fixings, flying french toast and sausage.
A wrangler would toss the French toast for you to catch on your
plate. Breakfast ended with a devotional
given by one of the wranglers.
Mid-morning we participated in the family challenge. This consisted of us trying to complete as
many challenges as we could within a certain time.
Some of the challenges included: doing the Macarena for 30 seconds, forming a humid pyramid, circling another
family saying, “fire drill,” and a 30-second dance party. We didn't win the challenge but we sure had a great time.
The girls had an hour of Kids Club so James and I took off for a quick hike. Let me tell you, this altitude thing can really kick your fanny. I was huffing and puffing. We were enjoying the views and ready to ascend a little higher until we came across some very large poop. Really large poop. As in could have come from a bear poop. Yep - hike was over.
For the rest of the afternoon, the girls played with friends, James played basketball, and I read my book. Ahhhh - such peacefulness.
A storm rolled in and left us with a beautiful rainbow over the mountains.
After dinner we gathered for our last Club of the week. Of course, there were songs, skits from the Bee Team and tonight a family lip sync contest. Our table mates for the week, the Lampens, performed to Shake It Off and they rocked it!
The kids left for their Club meeting and Chuck gave the adults another great message. The theme for tonight was "ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life." James and I both agreed, Sarah Ellen has mastered this one. Love that child, and I know I have a lot to learn from her "smell the roses" self.

They finished off the evening with the movie review of our week. The team does an amazing job of putting together these clips from each day. When we returned to our room, they had given a CD with the movie and a flash drive with pictures of our family from the week.
The girls were asleep before their heads hit the pillows.
Below are some of the pictures that were on our flash drive from the week.
